The Redwings…

Published by njdbrodeur99 at 7:24 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Was what happened last night good for the world of hockey? Did the world want to see Sid the Kid and Malkin get their first Stanley Cup? Even if they did, they were just out played and out coached. Babcock got it done when it mattered, won the Presidents Cup and lead his team all season to an unbelievable finish. It was the Redwings time once again, and since 95 they now have 4 Cups and are the dominating team of the last century. My team, the New Jersey Devils are second in line with 3 cups and will always be in contention when it comes down to it. I feel as if it is good for hockey that Sid did not win it too early in his career. He needs something to play for awhile and the Penguins will be competing for the cup for the next 10 years. Fleury played an amazing serious, but was outplayed by back up Chris Osgood. Osgood made a name for him self when Hasek went down with an injury earlier this season. A game seven would have hurt the NHL, with the NBA playoffs starting tonight the NHL needed as many viewers as possible and the overlap would have killed their ratings. Look for both these teams to build in the off season esp Detroit. They are always at the top because they know how to recruit. My pick for the NBA playoffs, Lakers take it in 4, the Celtics will be lucky to win a game… More tomorrow on game one of the playoffs…
